OBTAINING A VISA TO TRAVEL TO UGANDA
 

Chinese nationals holding China passports need an entry visa for Uganda.
Nationals of the countries listed below are exempted from visa requirements for travel to Uganda. They do, however, need to have a current passport issued by their respective countries.

Members of COMESA: Angola, Burundi, Comoros, Eritrea, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Others exempted are: Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Jamaica, Lesotho, Malta, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Vanuatu, Italy (only diplomatic passport holders), Cyprus.

CHECK LIST

In order to qualify for a visa application, all intending travelers to Uganda must comply with the following requirements:
1 You must be in possession of a valid passport issued by your government.
    Your passport must be valid past the date of your expected  departure from Uganda.
2 You must have:
  a An International Vaccination Certificate against Cholera  (recommended, not required).
b An International Inoculation Certificate against Yellow Fever.

You must obtain a Uganda Government VISA before entry into Uganda.
4 To obtain a Uganda Government VISA, the following are required:
  a Fill out both sides of Visa Application Form   back face
Application forms are available online. You may also get them from the Embassy.
b Submit your passport and two (2) passport-size photographs. Neatly print your full name on the back side of one of the photographs.

Pay a Processing Fee, as applicable below, by money order or cashier's cheque, made out to "Uganda Embassy" (sorry, no personal cheques).

5. There are three categories of ordinary travel visas.
    The processing fee you pay depends on the category desired.
    The categories are based on length of stay or number of entries.

a. Entry/ Transit /Single Journey VISA,  for 3 months - 500RMB
b. Multiple Entry Visa/Official,  6 months - 1000RMB
c. Multiple entry Visa/ Diplomatic, for  1 year - (gratis)

Note: Officials do not pay for the VIsa.

Opening hours: 09:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m. 

Visa Issuing:      09:00 a.m. -  12:00 p.m
No Visas will be issued beyond these times. 

The Embassy will remain Closed on Official Ugandan and Chinese Holidays
